While the answer to my question can come in varied forms, the truth is that when it comes to self-love, the phenomenon is different for everyone. Some people find happiness in indulging in physical tasks as it gives them the liberty to move and stay on their feet, while others may find peace in meditation or reading a book. Some find love in dancing, some in painting. Some may add value to self-love by giving to others and spending time with people, while others may value solo time- each having a significance of its own, reflecting the personalities we carry.

Why Loving Yourself Is Extremely Crucial
Loving yourself is extremely crucial as it is the ultimate tool to navigate life smoothly. It is only when you value your existence that you start valuing others around you.
Think about it- when you feel agitated and upset, you don’t even want anyone around you. Even the things that usually make you smile will seem like a burden until you resolve the inner battle and switch your state to feeling happy.
Low self-love means low self-worth, which means that when you undervalue yourself, you limit your chances of achieving things- those things that are naturally yours, but just because of your limited views, you block them from manifesting.
To resolve this, you need to start loving yourself truly. Is it easy? Of course it is. Will it happen in a day? Maybe, yes! Depending on how quickly you accept your uniqueness.
Every change starts with acceptance, so take some time to sit with yourself and reflect on the following questions:
- “What is it that I don’t like about myself?”
- “What can I change in myself that will help me become a better person?”
- “What qualities do I appreciate in others?”
- “What are the top 10 qualities/skills/talents that I possess?”
- “What qualities do I absolutely dislike in a human being?”
- “Can I see myself as a successful person in the next five years? If not, what is blocking that vision for me?”
These six questions are enough to give you an insight into what you want and what you don’t want. The answers to these questions will serve as a guideline for your transformation journey.
But please don’t rush into answering these questions and taking this activity as a 10-minute task. Sit with it long enough to fully understand the seriousness it carries. You can always add more points every day, but start with what comes instinctively.
