Can You Manifest for Someone Else? Exploring the Truth

Manifesting for Others: Is It Possible?

Can we manifest for someone else in our life?” – this was the first question I asked my coach when I learned about manifestation. He smiled and replied, “Of course, you can. Are you forgetting that you are the creator of your reality?”. That simple sentence was powerful enough to realign and remind me of the magic of manifestation.

Sensing where my question came from, he asked me what I was thinking. I cross-questioned him by asking if I am the creator, does it mean that if the world is going through a war, a friend got sick or I had a fight with a family member, are all these manifestations that I attracted consciously in my life?

He smiled and said, Well, it’s a yes and a no.

He explained beautifully how the whole idea of our life, whether we believe in it or not, is the fact that we are responsible for creating our reality. When we say we are the creators, that includes everything around us.

From a spiritual point of view, we, as souls, came to this planet to learn something and fulfill our purpose. We decided where we would be born, who we will meet and what we will do in this lifetime- often referred to as destiny, this notion is seen as a fixed path that a person is meant to follow. Whenever I used to think about destiny, I always felt that if everything is predestined, why put in efforts in life?

Destiny and willpower have been topics of discussion for centuries. The fact is that while all this is personal and subjective, destiny and willpower coexist.

If you think deeply without judging the defined meaning, it does make sense. It’s like looking at destiny as a predefined path and willpower as your navigation bar that helps you pass through events with your positive thoughts, actions and decisions.

» Let’s say my destiny is to build a home in the forest. My willpower will decide the actions I take to choose the forest I like, build security to live there and make correct decisions to ensure a happy future. Destiny is an overview and willpower adds details to that overview.

While some philosophies suggest that destiny plays a 90% role in our life, others downplay it to only 10%, emphasizing willpower as the primary driver of life’s outcomes.

For me, I believe in willpower and the philosophy that I carry a power within that always keeps me connected with the universe. Of course, it takes constant effort to handle every situation every day- but that’s the essence of life, isn’t it?

Stressing what he said earlier, my coach explained how our outer reality is just a reflection of our inner reality. If we truly believe that we are the creators of our reality and take full responsibility for all events, then naturally we also believe that we can manifest for everyone in our life. Manifestation is not limited to just attracting physical things in the outer reality. It goes much deeper than that.

In reality, you have people- family members, friends, partners, colleagues and even random encounters- all of them are there for a reason. Whatever is happening, good or bad, especially the bad as it gets highlighted quicker, is someone else projecting a reflection of themselves that you carry in your mind. It’s how you look at them.

Usually, our deep-seated fears, which cropped up because of certain bad incidents in the past, get highlighted in our outer reality through someone. We often mistake and mix them with fright and negative emotions, which is wrong.

Things go wrong in the outer reality to show us the exact area we need to focus on and heal. It’s a signal to go within and clear that pent-up energy.

People go wrong when they surrender to their problems instead of their faith and power to resolve them. This is where reaction and response come in. It’s very natural and obvious to give-in to an unfavorable situation when it arises out of nowhere in your life—it’s an instant reaction that is mostly unavoidable, and it’s wrong to look at it only through that light.

The correct way to handle a negative life situation is to let your reaction come out, then sit with yourself, close your eyes, breathe, relax and respond to how you actually see it—this is often referred to as looking at the situation from a third person’s point of view, which means to look at it from a non-judgmental, detached perspective. Once you do this, you realize the ins and outs of the whole situation and come up with a way to resolve it.

The more we move towards living life this way, the more our outer experiences will reflect it, which also answers my question about whether we can manifest for others in our lives. Of course, we can- we have all the power and right to do so!

As discussed, if we take responsibility- we directly take accountability for changing our feelings, thoughts, emotions and behaviors towards the people in our lives. Once we change our perspective and look at them in a different light, we will mend the situation, ultimately healing the relationship and the other person’s life.

That’s how Ho’oponopono, the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness works. It highlights how once you clean your thoughts and aura, things on the exterior automatically start working in your favor.

The same goes for Reiki– the whole practice works on the modality of healing in a beautiful way. The power of praying also works strongly and similarly- it’s about sending good vibes to others by keeping all negative thoughts and emotions away.

I have personally seen the power of prayers and the outcomes you experience when you change your inner world. I have seen people heal from critical health conditions, land good opportunities within days, receive money and help from nowhere and be blessed with a complete turnaround in their conditions.

For some, it might still sound illogical to fathom that we can contribute to changing another person’s situation, which is why I said that this discussion is completely subjective. I too had the same views until I experienced magic around me.

Even if the other person has landed in the situation by their free will, we can send strength and positive vibes at the energy level to uplift them, as in the cosmic field, we are all connected. This is precisely why we feel a pang of emotions when someone close to us goes through something bad in their life.

Instead of indulging in negative emotions and intensifying the experience, we should break the pattern and focus on healing with positive thoughts and visualizations. With intense faith, you can shift your current reality to your desired reality.

Key Reminders

 Clarity of Intention

Before you manifest anything for anyone, you should be very clear about the why behind your desire to help them or change their situation. Remember, your “why” should have a positive and pure intention. What is it that you want for them? Do you want happiness, healing, stability, commitment? Come up with a clear intent.

 Observation of Details

See what they want for themselves- understand why they landed in their situation. There must be something within them that attracted the situation into their life. Just like how you observe your own feelings, you need to understand their side too. To accelerate the process, try having a heartfelt conversation with them and work together towards creating a common healing journey.

 Affirm

A powerful technique to use when manifesting for others is using positive affirmations. Repeating affirmations sets the energy in motion, attracting a positive outcome by reprogramming the subconscious mind, as the subconscious is fond of repetition.

So, let’s say your friend lost a job and you want to manifest a job for them. You can affirm by saying, “_________(name of the person) is so content in their job. They are so happy and financially abundant.”

 Add Emotions

Only thinking and affirming positively doesn’t work. What adds fuel are your emotions and actions towards it. When you’re manifesting for someone, make sure you have empathy towards them.

Remember, I said empathy, not sympathy. Empathy will make you emotionally aligned with them. Feel the inner joy as you envision them thriving in every area of life.

For the action part, just change your perspective towards the situation and the person. Show compassion and gratitude for all the good things and for having them in your life. Remember, by choosing to take responsibility and work towards healing the situation, you’ve already made a positive and meaningful action.

 Visualize

Visualization is the ultimate key for every manifestation. It’s the only way you get to see what you want in your mind’s eye. When you close your eyes, it’s just a blank slate. You get the power to run movies according to your wish, direct them, act in them, add people to them and be in places where you want to be- it’s such a fun process.

When you visualize, you directly shift your focus to living in another possibility where your desires are true. You live them as you want to. When you do it for someone, it instantly brings a smile to your face. The power lies in feeling the emotions, seeing everything in color- not black and white and viewing everything closely.

Do you know when you do this for a good amount of time without moving, your mind gets tricked between the real and the imagined? It believes that whatever you’re seeing is actually reality and that is how you collapse time and bring your desired outcome.

Let Go

Once you affirm and visualize, just let go. Don’t visualize positively for half an hour and then think the opposite for the rest of the day. Your doubts, judgments and negative scenarios can block your manifestation.

Forget the worry of when it will come to the outer reality. Just live with the certainty that now the universe will do its part to deliver the best in the scenario. Your job is to send the intention, connect with the emotions and then have faith and patience in the process.

Manifestation, whether for yourself or for others, is not an overnight process. It takes time to change your inner beliefs to alter the outer outcome. Sometimes, seeing the outer reality where people might not share the same thinking or where you experience lows can waver your faith. That’s why, if and when you feel any doubts creeping up, immediately shift your focus to saying your affirmations- the idea is to realign in whatever way you feel fits the situation.

Whatever happens, keep manifesting.

There’s no harm in trying, right? The best always comes from within.
